Family Portraits in Florida

Portraits

It’s not hard to love your niece and nephew especially when they are this cute.  I went on a family vaction to visit my dad and step-mom in Florida.  As luck would have it I was able to overlap my trip with my sister and her family.  I think I have a small obsession to photograph little girls with pig-tails.  Braden, my nephew, is getting so big.  He is so sweet and curious about everything.  Kennedy, my niece, is a little ball of energy.  I have a new appreciation for my sister after chasing the two of them around for two days.

My trip wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t take their family portrait at the beach.  Who can resist a perfect sunset?  Not me!  You can always view their slideshow if you want to see more.

Baby Portrait – Cooper Turned One

Portraits

Children have something magical about them.  Maybe it is the innocence in their eyes or the sweetness of their smiles.  Either way Cooper had it all.  I went to his house to photograph him for his one year portrait.  He wasn’t walking just yet, but he certainly can get around.  He scoots across the floor to get where he wants to go.  Hanging out with Cooper, his mom and their dog was a great way to spend my Saturday.

Bunny lovin!

Cooper had his first try at riding the pony.

I loved this shot of him in his crib. The artwork on the walls was so fun.

I don't think you can get any cuter then this

Well maybe you can...

Tucker was so good with little Cooper. It looked like innocent fun until you look at the next photo.

It was still innocent fun. It looks like the dog has his hand, but he is gently taking the ball from him. The shot after this was Cooper with a huge smile on his face.

Morgan Adams Foundation

Corporate Event

It has been some time since I have talked about something that is near and dear to my heart. A year and a half ago I photographed Ariana, a little girl with brain cancer. Sadly she passed away a few months after our session. What she taught me in her short time here on earth was a life long lesson. Live each day to it’s fullest because tomorrow is a gift, not a guarantee. Hold the ones you care about close to your heart. Never forget to say I love you. Do things to make others smile. Dance like no one is watching. Have compassion for everyone.
I have built a relationship with Ariana’s mother, April. I am connected to her in ways I can’t quite explain. Our journey in life isn’t always clear, but I strongly believe everything happens for a reason. Since Ariana’s passing, I have had the opportunity to go to a few events for the Morgan Adams Foundation. This is a charity that raises money for research for children with cancer. They do an annual breakfast/fundraiser called “What’s Up Doc?” They held the event at the Seawell Grand Ballroom. A few doctors from Children’s Hospital came to talk about the research that is currently being done, how far we have come and how far we still need to go.
